The way it works is…
An Original Poster (OP) starts a story by posting a chapter they’ve written. They then unlock a chapter for contributions, allowing subscribers to donate a chapter to the original story. The OP then chooses which contribution they (or the votes) like best and locks it in! It keeps going until the story is complete!
- OPs own the story. When you start a story, you’re the author — all contributed chapters to your story belong to you once submitted.
- Contributors are anonymous. When you contribute a chapter, you are donating those words to the original author. No rights, no royalties, no glory. Just pride in the collaborative creative process.
- You need to subscribe as a writer to submit writings. Writers can submit original stories, contribute chapters to other stories, save favorites, and contribution and story drafts. Those with reader access can only save favorites and story drafts.
Anyone can vote.
